I bought this curtain to replace the plastic liners I’ve been using and was really worried that it would be a complete disaster and that my husband and I would be out $100. But after a few weeks of use, we totally love it. Definitely has a strong hemp smell, but I’ll take that any day over plastic! Is a bit long for our tub, but it’s okay. Does get wet, but water just gets absorbed and doesn’t leak through. I even tried spraying the shower head directly at it to see if it would leak and it didn’t (after about 2 seconds, at least). We love it so far and hope it’s our “forever liner.”
I love my hemp shower curtain- feel so much better knowing I’m not being poisoned by horrible outgassing. It dries really fast with my box fan & is aesthetically pleasing. Thank you for making it available.
Material itself is nice; construction is not the best. It also mildews much easier than represented. Customer service sucks.
Yes, the hemp shower curtain is more expensive than cheap plastic shower curtain liners, but it's worth paying extra: You are doing the right thing for your health and for the environment: no off-gassing of chemicals (which you get from plastic shower curtain liners), no petroleum needed to make a hemp shower curtain. The hemp shower curtain is nice looking and well made. It air dries in about a day...
I had this for only six weeks and followed the instructions: I washed it after 4 weeks, and made sure it was airing out in between shower use. After six weeks, it started to developed mold.
It’s beautiful! I love that it’s organic hemp, made local (i live near Chicago), and fair trade sources, but the mold is incredibly disappointing, especially after 6 weeks.
