All orders ship directly from our Chicago location unless otherwise noted.
Processing and Shipping Times
Most orders are manufactured and processed within 2–3 business days.
Please allow up to 5 business days for your order to ship.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next business day.
Custom embroidery may add 1–2 business days to the normal processing time.
Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information when available.
Returns
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. You have 30 days from the date your order is delivered to request a return authorization. Returns requested after 30 days cannot be accepted.
Before returning an item, please contact orders@beanproducts.com for authorization and return instructions.
Return Eligibility and Exclusions
Returned items must be unused, in their original condition and include their original packaging.
The following items cannot be returned:

Embroidered, personalized or customized items
Clearance or final-sale items
Items damaged or missing parts for reasons unrelated to our error
Items returned more than 30 days after delivery

Hygiene-sensitive products, including pillows and shower curtains, may only be returned when they are unused and in their original packaging.
Customized items are final sale unless we made an error or the item arrived damaged or defective. If we made a mistake, please contact us so we can correct it.
When requesting a return, please include your order number and the billing and shipping addresses associated with the order.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days. Your bank or credit-card provider may require additional time to post the refund.
If you have not received an approved refund after allowing time for it to be processed and posted, please contact orders@beanproducts.com.
Return Shipping
Please contact orders@beanproducts.com before returning an item. In most cases, we will provide a prepaid return label.
If the return is due to our error, including a damaged, defective or incorrect item, we will cover the return shipping cost.
If the return is due to customer preference or a change of mind, the cost of the prepaid return label will be deducted from the refund.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the item arrived damaged, defective or was shipped incorrectly.

First bench I ever used and was very impressed, I have always used a wedge type cushion. Highly recommended, I still sit Burmese style with this bench as well.
The order took forever to arrive and then they sent me the wrong bench! I wrote to them and still have not had any response. Terrible customer service.
Good Morning. Firstly, the service from Bean has been fantastic. I had an issue with not buying the bench because tax, duties and shipping from Amazon were $200. Bean stepped up to the plate and offered to send it directly to me, with a shipping cost of $25. Perfect. I did lots of research and preferred a bench without a hinge (for travel purposes) and this was the only one I could find, so really wanted it. After receiving it, I found it was exactly what I wanted. There was a dent in one of the legs, which I didn't appreciate, so asked if I could exchange that leg for a new one. The answer was no, but Bean would give me a 30% discount because of the damage. Although disappointed, it was a great way to go the extra mile and make good of something that didn't turn out, which I appreciated.
After a few days of use things began to occur. One leg became a little loose and began leaving it's carved slot. This became worse, to the point where it would completely fall out whenever I picked it up to use. Then I noticed that one of the small magnets on the bench had fallen out. I looked for it with the thought of gluing it back in, but never did find it. So to fix the problems of a missing magnet and a leg that wouldn't stay in its slot, I took a piece of paper and cut it to the length of the slot, folded it once and then slipped it on the leg and jammed it into the slot. Problem solved! The last issue began yesterday. I meditate with a small knitted blanket on top of my bench, and when I went to straighten it, it pulled to reveal splinters on the top edge of the bench. I peeled them off, hoping that that would do the job. I haven't yet practiced today, but hope it hasn't become worse. I don't usually complain, but with one negative thing after another, and then this review appearing in front of me, I thought "Why not"? So there you have it, unfortunately not the best review, but perhaps these may be issues that you have already heard and will perhaps consider trying to change. Thanks for the opportunity to let you know my thoughts. Again, Bean has been great to deal with, but the product did not live up to any of my expectations. Sincerely, Duane.
Actually, I may need to order a cushion for this bench. The reason is not the bench, but as I am very thin, I feel the hardness of the wood. Otherwise, the bench provides a sturdy,stable foundation. Best, David 🏮
This bench is exactly what I was looking for. I really like the curved base that allows for a bit more range to get into a comfy position. The cushion is the perfect thickness too and stays put well. I sat for 3 hour sessions of meditation (30-40 min broken up by 10 min walking meditations) and this was comfortable the whole time with a mat/pillow underneath. I'm so happy I finally decided to get one of these.
I bought this bench for my husband as a Father's day gift since he has been interested in sitting in a meditation position with knees drawn backwards. He is a senior citizen and needed the added sitting support. Using a yoga block didn't seem to be high enough, nor sturdy enough. He really likes the height of the bean meditation bench, but the problem is that one of the stool legs didn't fit snuggly into the slot and kept falling out. This instability has a potential problem for causing injury if it fails while sitting on it with full body weight. My husband wrapped plumber's tape around the bottom part of the stool leg and after that it fit more snuggly into the slot and didn't fall out. I hope that you can correct this potential problem on other benches.
My opinions after one use are:
- It is a maybe little shorter than I’d like
- I like that the legs fold; it makes storage and transportation easy
- It’s a cute, simple design
- The bench feels sturdy despite having foldable legs
- The rounded bottom of the legs are a non-issue when used on a cushion. Not sure what I think of them on the floor. Felt nice that you can change the angle, but I haven’t sat long with it on the flat floor yet.
A simple, yet elegant bamboo meditation bench, carefully packaged for shipping, arrived in excellent condition. The black cushion is also beautifully crafted. I highly recommend this company based on these two well-made and fairly priced products.
Great bench. Nice height (I'm 5'10" 160lbs). Feels solid and comfortable with the cushion. The only hitch is that it's not the bench I ordered! I ordered the magnetic bench and received the foldable bench. Decided to keep but Bean, please be more careful.

I ordered the first style, which amazing, but recently ordered the second style, since I realized I needed something more fixed for longer sittings. Both benches are amazing. I got the squarer model. It is sturdy and comfortable. I bought the cushion, which is thick and of good quality, but have found the bench plenty comfortable without it, even for long sits.
I’m delighted with this combo set of meditation cushion and bench. It arrived quickly and was packaged with great care and strong tape. The zabuton cushion is a lovely dark cocoa hue. It is a thick cushion yet light enough for easy carrying and pliable enough to roll up for storage in my closet. Made from attractive bamboo, the bench is sturdy and solid. The specific bench I chose is the one with the magnetic design. At first I thought the three boards were not going to fit together. But they snap into place perfectly when properly aligned. Brilliant. I had a meditation retreat last weekend and put the set to the test. The combo really made a daylong sit comfortable. Deep bow of thanks!
My knees are thanking me as much as my wallet is. The bench itself is of upmost quality, the zabuton is both functional and aesthetically appealing. I love the feel of the cover, I got the natural look and it’s just like the picture. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
