I wanted a more environmentally friendly and longer lasting option and was tired of repeatedly having to replenish the microbeads in my Yogibo bean bags chairs which only seemed to last 6 months to a year. I ordered the 25 pound bag of kapok/latex blend which was enough to replenish two Yogibo short bags and one large one. This blend mixed in with the existing beads makes the bean bags heavier but also much sturdier and supportive and still very comfortable. I really like having this latex blend mixed in and think I like it much better than the Yogibo beads alone. It certainly feels like it’s much more durable and will last longer. I do recommend refilling the bags outdoors on a non windy day. The only comment is that the latex pieces do look like they are by products of a torn up couch cushion, so one has to wonder why the product is quite pricey for what looks like leftover scraps. But if it lasts a long time, I guess it will have been the price.

Pit pricey, is my only complaint. You could order an organic latex mattress topper and shred it for fill yourself and it'd cost less. It'd be a bit of a pain, I suppose, so in ordering this you're saying yourself some trouble. Is it worth it? Maybe. I'll end on this, you'll probably need more of this than you think. I got 40 lbs of this fill to stuff a beanbag and it barely made a dent.

I made throw pillows with shredded latex for a daybed we use as a sofa. I love them. Latex will never go flat and need fluffing. It's also supportive, if you use enough filling, but still allows you to sink in a little. Advice I have for making your own inserts with shredded latex: Do not put latex into an insert case with a zipper. It will get caught in the zipper and clog it. Instead, make an insert pillowcase out of Dacron or old sheets. Leave an opening on one side in order to stuff the insert. When done, sew it closed. For reference, I made Dacron pillowcases, stuffed and sewed them closed. Then put that into pillowcases I made out of sheets and sewed that closed. Then I put those inserts into a throw pillow case with a zipper. 5 lbs of filling went into one 20x20 pillow.
